I truly believe AMR's days are numbered. How much more reorganization, cutbacks, and change of owners can they go through? With all luck they will start to fade away....

I just finished reading the series in the Hartford Courant re: AMR. This entire subject amazes me. How is it that we are perfectly content paying municipal employees to pick up garbage and sweep our streets, yet we are perfectly content to allow minimum wage and no wage people to fight fires and save lives? There is something terribly wrong with this picture.

Looks like everyone is starting to see the light. For Profit EMS can not work. EMS needs to be provided by the city, town, county. How can we allow someone to make money from the work we do to save lives. All people in this Country have the right to full time and up to date emergency services.
