What are y'alls thoughts or policies concerning having riders in the ambulance. Specifically having family members ride in the rescues(ambulance)when transporting another family member? Does the policy or thought process change if going emergency vs non-emergency to the hospital. Thanks for the time and be safe!!:eek:

Our service has no problem with riders. Family of the pt. are only to ride in the cab. If a mother is acompaning the child then it's fine for her to ride in back. Our insurance has no problem as long as the student or observer has signed a waver.

Well said, Tring. Ditto for ours. Comes down to medics choice and patient's condition, ultimately.
