Do any of you know where I can find rhythm strips that I can practice analyzing. I just started EKGs in I school and I want to practice practice practice if you know what I mean. Take care and stay safe.

Tutorial & Strips (http://www.randylarson.com/acls/start.html)
From here you can also find links to ACLS drugs and a nice Mega Code simulator.
Have fun!

I used a book called "Easy EKG's" when I was in Medic Class a few years back (older edition didn't cover 12 Lead stuff)
While doing some research (including asking around on here), I found that "Rapid Interpretation of EKG's" by Dr. Dale Dubin (6th Edition) is one of the most widely reccomended books on EKG's there is.
Also - his web site ( http://www.emergencyekg.com )is chocked full of good information as well.
Good Luck.

The Paramedic class that I am in uses the book EKG's Made Easy. It breaks everything down for you and is easy to understand. Plus, there are tons of practice rhythms. It is a book that I would highly recommend.

Another great way to learn is to ask a paramedic you know to "teach" you the basics. It can be pretty helpful because, unlike in class, you won't get a super-complicated version. I know that some paramedic courses bring in doctors or nurses to teach EKGs and they often make it sound really complicated because they want to see that jaw-dropped eyes-wide-open look on their students' faces. As with most things, the best way to learn is to practice. Good luck!
