Paramedic Jobs in San Diego?

My girlfriend and I are looking to move to san diego this winter. We just got back from checking out the area and I spoke to a San Diego Fire/Rescue life guard. He was telling me that the area is over saturated with medics. Is this true? What can I do increase my chances of getting a job in CA while I'm living in IL so I can move out there? How does AMR pay? My min. salary would be around 30k.

Dude,

California in general is oversaturated with medics. This may be the reason why they have so many problems...but that is another thread.

If you minimum salory is 30 K, keep in mind that is crap in CA. Cost of living is HUGE.
