I am looking to make contact with some ALS agencies that exclusively do intercept/non transport/fly car type service. I am well aware of New Jersey and Delaware and have several contacts in each area.

so i want to see if any board members knew of any agencies that fit this criteria.

in general i would prefer to speak to agencies east of the mississippi, however at this point i am willing to make contact with anyone.

i am trying to gather some information on other agencies policies regarding: release to BLS, wait times regarding BLS, online medical control, call volume, scope of practice, and other information similar to this.

thanks for the help

Armstrong Ambulance in MA provides intercepts for some of the local FD's just north of Boston. Their web site isn't much, but it has some contact info.

Greene EMS in Greene County, NY is an ALS fly-car service.

the Albany County Sheriff's Department in New York has a EMS Unit that provides non-transport ALS. Although the unit falls under the Sheriff's Department, the Paramedics aren't cops and the cops aren't Paramedics.

Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA operates a non-transport dual Paramedic system for 13 communities in the area.

There are also a few communities around me that have a non-transporting unit that is used by an on-duty Paramedic who takes the vehicle home or stays in the station and responds in this vehicle to wherever it is needed.

Fly car service in Western New York run by, but separate from the police department. Seems to me like an interesting setup.

I think most ALS projects in NJ save RWJ, UMDNJ, and MONOC use non-transports.
