It scared every one.Now the unit stays cold all the time even in park.when the engine is not running or air.

o.o I'm 15, not quite yet on the field, but my friends who are in the field, said it is quite rewarding. And at the same time, its a scare. Anywho, i'm on here to review what the job is like, and stuff. Yeah. How much study does the field involve?

I was in the navy in Pensacola Florida, they had a old Aircraft carrier
called the USS Lexington. A very old aircraft carrier. Some of the rescue
swimmers I had SAR duty with told me that alot of the people think
certain parts of the ship were haunted. One of the cooks said that
the freezer had a ghost in it. When ever you go to a new ship they
would make you a mess cook the first 90 days. IE you worked in the chow hall for a while. they made people searve food and clean up. some of the new guys would see weird things in the freezer. like ghosts. gave me the hebie jebies just thinking about it. I was a corpsman- I worked in the operating
room as a Anesthesia technician, the first time a person coded and died in one of the operation rooms,
they called me in to pick the body up and help place him in a body bag. I had the top part- so as I lifted
the body so a or tech could slide the bag under the body- I looked down- the dead person had died
and his eyes were wide open. they had pushed so many fluids and epi in this guy during the code
he still had a brady heart rhythm- ie his heart was beating still. but he was brain dead. Been a medic for a while- heard alot of strange stories. my favorite is- sometimes after a person dies in the er or ICU
some of the nurses say they saw cloudy vapors up in the corner of the room ceiling. I offer my sympathy
to you for what happened-when children die, it hurts alot. messes with your thinking sometimes,
you think about what you may have done things better to improve the childs chances of making it.

I know my blog sorta breaks away from the main discussion, A child dying
after a car accident. This is just a very tough thing that the paramedic
has to deal with. I was working and recieved a call to go to a childrens hospital and pick up a very sick child, my basic partner and I had the basic info- name of child, room number ect, So as we went up to the floor, I saw
that parents were crying in a side visiting room, went to a nurse, asked about a child, IE where can I find the patient? the nurse just grabbed my arm-dragged me and my partner into a empty room and told us our 5 year
old patient had just coded and died. As I walked away- I saw the parents
grieving in another room- I personally was not there- I did not work the code, but just to see the look on the nurses face after I mentioned the
childs name was not a very pleasent experience. I thank God that the parents did not hear me. That in itself was a very tough thing to deal with,
once again my sympathy to the medic involved.
