Hi fellow collegues,

Im an instructor in sweden for fire and medical care for both public and professional people.

Im trying to find out if there are any good suppliers of advanced computer based material used for instruction and explaining the body etc.

Im talking about 3d animations and similar video material that explains damages to the body at carcrashes etc.

Can someone guide me in the right direction?

Best regards / Lars

There are several, depending on how much you want to spend. All of the ones I know of are supplied by textbook publishers like Brady, McGraw Hill, or elsiver ans Saunders.

for anatomy the American Medical student association was promoting one a year or so ago, but I cannot remember the name. since you are in Europe you will probably be better off with Physician level materials than US EMS ones.

Rant:
You have to scrutinize US EMS materials though. They are often written by people with an agenda. I think the Brady books still claim an assault rifles are still more deadly than long rifles, not because of the rate of fire or the fact they are designed to be used within 100 meters of the target, but lists them as having a higher muzzle velocity. (no idea what rifles they were comparing) but I have seen a lot of civilian based literature than doesn't seem to match the Army's.

EMS materials are similar, with some vastly oversimplifying topics to justify the use of certain treatment algorithms. (like spinal immobilization)

Rant over.
