Just got a few of the non-powered cots from Monster Medic in and I'm wondering if anyone else is have a lot of trouble with these?
Specifically, loading and unloading the cots from the ambulance seems cumbersome, clunky and difficult. The raising and lowering of the legs on the cot is tough, even with three providers (one at the feet, and one on either side of the patient.)
I've contacted the manufacturer and they seem to think (A) it's a new cot and it will be stiff for awhile until it has some use under it's belt and (B) all raising and lowering of the legs should be done near the head-end of the cot, as to lower the amount of restraint on the scissor-system legs.
I'm thinking of taking a short video and posting it to show more of what I'm talking about...
Thoughts? Is anyone else trying these cots (this company) out yet?
