Guys, I let my medic certs lapse last year. The primary reason was that I started another LE job at about the same time the refresher came up and couldn't get off. I've since found that all I need to recertify is to take the refresher and retest both practicals and written. The written test never was an issue for me, but being that I haven't done ALS since the last time I recertified (3 years ago) I need to practice the skills. Sadly, I don't know any EMS types in this area. Any ideas, and do you think this will be tough?

Go through the refresher and see what areas you will need the most refreshing on. Then you might be able to network with another class member or instructor for help or advice. If it is through a college, they might be able to enroll you in just the lab, some clinical portion or even let you audit one of the classes for a more extensive review.
