Hi all. I am looking at updating our Lifepak 12s to the 15. Anyone have any input on the 15 yet? We currently have 1 Phillips Heartstart MRx and nobody seems to be thrilled with it. Just wanted to see if anybody has any input either way.

I just registered on this forum but my service is currently evaluating the LP-15. We have had LP-12s for about six years and found them capable and durable. My only frown with the 15s and a recently serviced 12 is the loss of the Nellcor SaO2 plug style. The new one, a bus style like a PC monitor, has been a problem since we got it. The plastic jacket broke and there is no interface for connecting to a Nellcor plug off an interfacility patient (they normally use Nellcors). My only vague answer from a biomed guy about why Medtronic fixed what wasn't broken was that they can. Otherwise things are looking good for the 15.

Sorry, thought this posted. We are evaluating the 15 since we have been using the 12 for about six years and liked their durability and relability. So far we like the color screen and seeing the underlying rhythm during resussitation efforts. It is also so similar to the 12 in appearance that transition would be easy.
We don't care for the needless loss of the Nellcor style SaO2 plug. Its jacket broke and there is no adapter for the usual Nellcor finger probe found on interfacility patients. I have not found any good reason for this loss.

I think the new style plug is for SPCO and SPmet monitoring. I dont know for sure though.
