In this podcast Thom shares his background in EMS, including how it became his accidental career path, and how his experiences led to his current series on safe medical restraint procedures for violent - or potentially violent - patients. Thom explains the years of research that went into this study, including lessons learned at his own EMS service. He also shares some of the advice to come out of this research, and explains why the issue of medical restraint is of growing importance.
