Qualifications:
Graduate of a State accredited program. Current certification in the State of Ohio as an EMT-Paramedic. Requires 3 years (minimum) experience as a Paramedic preffered. BCLS, ACLA and PALS provider certified. Satisfactory references. Effective communication skills. Successfull completes designated screening test(s).
Position Summary:
The employee must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide direct patient care to the age groups consistent with patients served in their position. The Paramedic renders direct patient care as an assistant to and under the direction of the ECC physician and the Registered Nures. The paramedic collaborates with the RN on patient problems, uncertainty in method or procedures, and all incidents that might affect patients, personnel, and visitors adversely. The patient population can range from newborn to the geriatric patient. The Paramedic is administratively responsible to the Nurse Manager.
