Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the EMT is to Provide for the safety and protection of guests, team members, and company property; anticipate potential problems and seeks ways to prevent disruption, injuries, and prohibited conduct from occurring on company premises; respond to emergency situations as requested and takes appropriate steps to rectify problems and at the same time minimize hotel liability; and respond specifically to any type of medical situation on the premises. Must maintain current and up to date with training concerning emergency medicine and basic life support techniques. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Casino Resort's policies, practices, and procedures.
*NOTE* - Candidates must be able to present their current Clark County Health District Emergency Medical Technician (Basic level) certificate at the time of interview.
Job Requirements
Minimum Employment Requirements:
- 21 years of age, proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to communicate effectively in a positive/upbeat fashion utilizing English; both in oral and written form
- Interpersonal skills with focused attention to guest needs to deal effectively with all business contacts
- Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance adhering to VCR appearance standards
- Maintain consistent adherence to the VCR Unmatched Guest Service Standards, work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to obtain/possess a valid Nevada Driver's License, Sheriff's Card and Techniques of Alcohol Management (TAM) Card.
- Must have a current Clark County Health District Emergency Medical Technician (Basic level) certificate
- Must possess a CPR card for the Professional Rescuer.
Specific Position Requirements:
Prior experience in civilian or military law enforcement, casino/hotel security, or industrial security. Excellent verbal & written communication skills, with demonstrated ability to investigate incidents, interview witnesses and draft legible, factual reports Must have either a current Clark County Health District Emergency Medical Technician (Basic level) certificate or a National Emergency Medical Technician (Basic level) certificate. Must possess a CPR card for the Professional Rescuer. Familiarity with federal, state and local laws pertaining to law enforcement and gaming. Physical ability to access all areas of the property. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, able to push and/or pull 200 pounds. Stand or walk for prolonged periods of time. Bend from the waist, crouch, stretch, kneel, climb, twist and crawl without restrictions. Perform eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. The applicant is responsible to notify the manager of any reasons that they cannot perform any aspect of the physical requirement(s). Work indoors and out doors and be exposed to various environmental factors such as, but not limited to CRT fatigue, noise, dust, cigarette smoke, variations in weather. Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy, and somewhat stressful environment and maintain physical stamina, proper mental attitude while dealing effectively with guests, management, team members, and outside contacts while working under pressure and meeting deadlines.
