The Office of the Medical Director of the Wichita-Sedgwick County EMS System (EMSS) is seeking applicants for the position of Quality Manager. This is the largest EMS System in the State of Kansas with 800 providers, consisting of several first responder fire services and a third service EMS transport agency. The system responds to approximately 50,000 calls a year. The enthusiastic individual in this position will be responsible for developing a system wide quality improvement program, working with the medical director and agency directors to establish performance criteria, data gathering and analysis, participation in research with our medical school and hospital partners, and providing data to our Performance Board.
The ideal candidate will have an MBA or MPH with five years experience in the delivery of Prehospital Emergency Medical care and experience in research and quality management. A strong statistics background is required. Knowledge of quality management techniques to include six-sigma, design of experiments, root cause analysis, etc. is a plus. If not currently licensed as a State of Kansas MICT (Paramedic), must obtain within 6 months of hiring. Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications.
