Johnson County Med-Act is seeking career Paramedics for current full-time positions. Johnson County, Kansas is a rapidly developing community located in the southwest portion of the Kansas City metropolitan area. Med-Act is a "third-service" government agency providing primary advanced life support 911 service to Johnson County. Med-Act responds to over 30,000 calls annually, covers 477 square miles, and serves a growing population of over 516,000 (urban, suburban, and rural). The system is well regarded for its high standard of patient care and opportunity for clinical practice.
Compensation includes a starting annual salary of $38,425 - $46,968 depending on experience and education. Benefits provided include: vacation, sick, flexible benefit plan, health care plan with significant employer contributions and the Kansas Police & Fire Retirement System. All uniforms are provided and Med-Act also provides paid time for all re-certification hours required by the State of Kansas and the National Registry.
Candidates for employment must be at least 18 years of age, provide evidence of high school diploma or GED, have a valid driver's license and safe driving record, and possess or be eligible to obtain Kansas certification as a paramedic. Preference will be given to paramedics that have graduated from an Accredited Paramedic Education Program.
