Measure Carbon Moxoxide

Masimo, the inventor of read-through-motion and low perfusion pulse oximetry, recently debuted the Rad-57 Pulse CO-Oximeter, the first monitor capable of noninvasively measuring carbon monoxide levels in the blood. The Rad-57 is a handheld monitor that uses advanced signal processing to analyze data from a sophisticated, yet simple-to-apply, finger sensor to accurately measure carboxyhemoglobin (SpCO), the percentage of blood hemoglobin bound with carbon monoxide. The SpCO percentage provides the caregiver continuous measurement of carbon monoxide (CO) in the blood. In addition, the Rad-57 measures SpO2, pulse rate and perfusion index with Masimo SET technology. Call 800/326-4890, or visit www.masimo.com.

Fingertip Pulse Oximeter

Nonin Medical, Inc., manufacturer of Onyx 9500, the original all-in-one digital fingertip pulse oximeter, presents an all new fingertip pulse oximeter, the Onyx II 9550. Incorporating the electronics and sensor into one unit, the Onyx II provides a cost-effective solution for spot checks and short-term monitoring. The automatic on/off mechanism is energy efficient, providing approximately 2,500 spot checks or 21 hours of continuous use. The Onyx II is extremely compact—carry it on a lanyard, in a carrying case or in your pocket. It weighs only two ounces. Other new features include an enhanced design, easy battery access, large LED display, and a brilliant pulse quality indicator. Simply slip it onto your patient’s finger and view the data instantly.
