  • R. David Paulison to Support Funding Programs and Fire Service
    Motorola, Inc. has named Robert David Paulison, former FEMA administrator, to consult and support the company's Government and Enterprise Funding Programs as customers and partners seek funds from the Assistance to Firefighters Grant Act, also known as the AFG program.

  • Fireman's Fund and Holmatro Announce Nationwide Partnership
    Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and Holmatro, a manufacturer of extrication and rescue gear, announced a new, nationwide agreement to support local fire departments. As part of the arrangement, Holmatro will provide special pricing to Fireman's Fund for vehicle extrication gear awarded through its Fireman's Fund Heritage Program.

  • FDNY Receives $10,000 Grant for Training and Excerise Equipment
    UB International Northeast and Fireman's Fund Insurance Company have partnered to award a $10,000 grant to the FDNY to purchase equipment to enhance the training technology and physical fitness of its members.

  • New Frank Lanza Memorial Scholarship to Benefit Healthcare Students
    This timely initiative is designed to recognize the academic and leadership accomplishments of students enrolled in registered nursing, respiratory care or emergency medical service programs offered by regionally accredited community colleges.

  • Walmart Foundation Commits $500,000 to Improving Emergency Preparedness for the 54 Million Americans with Disabilities
    The grant will support the mission to ensure that the needs of this one-fifth of the U.S. population are taken into account in emergency planning and response.

  • Administration Leaders Say Flu Preparedness is "Shared Responsibility"
    The Obama administration has announced new funding for pandemic preparedness and a nationwide flu prevention campaign.

  • New Grants to Promote Traffic Safety Announced
    The grants will allow state, county and local agencies to continue the fight against impaired driving, encourage seat belt and child safety seat usage, enhance emergency medical service response, advance pedestrian and bicycle safety, and assist in the enforcement of traffic laws.
