DES MOINES, Iowa --

A Polk County judge has dropped the charges filed against a Baxter ambulance driver.

Kimberly Milligan was charged with failure to adequately slow down at a light after a crash in Bondurant on Feb. 14.

Patty Carr was killed in the crash and her granddaughter was injured.

The Carr family attorney said Milligan was traveling at 65 to 75 mph hour through the intersection.

Milligan's attorney said the charges were dropped because the state couldn't prove her actions were reckless.
