DENVER --

The family of a teenaged girl hit and killed by an ambulance is reportedly suing the ambulance driver and ambulance company.

Hannah Boemker was killed on May 1, 2006.

The police investigation found the ambulance driver had its lights and siren on and was driving 41 mph in a 35 mph zone -- all within the ambulance company's guidelines.

Police cleared the driver of any wrongdoing. However, a published report say the family is suing the driver and ambulance company for negligence.

Friends said 16-year-old Boemker was on her way home from her job at a retirement community when the crash happened.
